Premature Ejaculation – Causes & Treatments –Priligy (Dapoxetine)
Premature ejaculation affects between 20 and 30% of males from 18 to 65 years old at least at some point in their life. It is one of the most common sexual complaints and is defined as when the man ejaculates sooner during sexual intercourse then he or his partner would like. If it happens infrequently it is not a reason for concern as most men face this atleast once in their lifetime. However if you are unable to delay ejaculation during sexual intercourse, you feel distressed and frustrated and tend to avoid sexual contact due to fears of premature ejaculation, and / or you ejaculate within one minute of penetration then you might require assistance.
As with any sexual topic men feel embarrassed to talk about premature ejaculation with their doctor, friends, and sexual partners. However medications, counseling and various sexual techniques can help delay the ejaculation or a combination of them to improve your sexual encounters. The root cause of premature ejaculation is not known but it is assume to be both psychological and biological factors causing it. Psychological issues such as early sexual experiences or lack of, sexual abuse, depression, poor body image, guilty feelings, worrying about premature ejaculation and more. Anxiety, relationship problems, erectile dysfunction (ability to obtain or maintain an erection might form a pattern of early ejaculation) all play a role. Biological issues such as abnormal hormone levels, abnormal brain chemicals, inflammation or infection of the prostate, or inherited traits can also play a factor in premature ejaculation.
Medications used by some to delay orgasm are varied and some are not specifically approved for the treatment of premature ejaculation but some use them for this purpose.
Antidepressants are known to delay orgasm and as such selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are used such as escitalopram / Lexapor, sertraline / Zoloft, paroxetine / Paxil, Prozac and more. While Paroxetine or Paxil seem best suited for this it might take two or three weeks prior to taking to see full results on premature ejaculation. If those do not work then some try the tricyclic antidepressant clomipramine (Anafranil) but be warned antidepressants might cause decreased libido and drowsiness in some. Some people have tried Tramadol which is used primarily to treat pain but it does have a side effect of delaying ejaculation.
If the cause of premature ejaculation is inability to obtain and maintain and erection then products that are used to treat erectile dysfunction such as sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), orvanrdenafil (Levitra), helps fit the premature ejaculation. While SSRI’s are often used in combination with erectile dysfunction medications such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra.
Two items that have more recently been tired for helping premature ejaculation is a product used for treating narcolepsy or sleeping disorder, and one for treating prostate gland enlargement. Those items are Modafinil (Provigil) and Silodosin (Rapaflo). Modafinil has shown to be not only a good wakefulness medication and mind enhancer the early results on a side benefit of premature ejaculation is promising.
The current most commonly used medication for premature ejaculation is Dapoxetine which is a SSRI similar to above but shows highest effectiveness in treating premature ejaculation. Dapoxetine comes in 30 mg, 60 mg, 90 mg strengths and most men start at a 30 mg dose and move up as needed depending on the causes of their premature ejaculation. As above stated many use a mix treatment of various items and currently there are Super Erectile Dysfunction medications available such as Super Kamagra or Super Viagra, Super Cialis, and Super Vardenafil. The trade names are varied such as Super P Force, Super Tadaraise, Super Avana and more. These seem to be a equal split of men using Dapoxetine and their preferred ED medication together and some using the newer Super already mixed medications. Further some men with healthy ejaculation history are taking the super ED medications for their special nights to last longer for their partner.
While there is no one answer, there are a variety of potential solutions out there to help prevent premature ejaculation.
